“The main course, which was the catch of the day (bream), was fantastic. I liked the garnishing and the wonderful mix of flavours and colours. The oysters were fresh and tasty. I was slightly disappointed by the dessert. Advertised as a raspberry cake, it lacked both the raspberry taste and the tanginess typical of the fruit. I believe this was an exception, and the other desserts probably match the exquisiteness of my main course. I also must point out how they serve the tea – I was surprised by how they offer you six boxes with different loose-leaf teas so you can smell and choose which one you wish to try. I loved the presentation and the tea types they offer. The people who work in the restaurant are all very friendly.”
“This place was amazing, some of the best food I've tasted from any restaurant in Haarlem or Amsterdam. We had a variety of dishes and we cleaned the plates as everything was excellent. We had the tuna, octopus, and tartare for our starters. Main courses we had were the iberico ham, duck breast and the surf and turf. Staff were really good and great service. For a Wednesday night the place was buzzing. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion and probably should book a table.”
“Ik heb al heel wat restaurants bezocht, maar Metzo springt er echt bovenuit. Het interieur is mooi en zorgt voor een relaxte sfeer. En zo ook de informele maar attente bediening. Het eten is perfect. Voor mij is het brood met boter vaak een indicatie voor de rest. Hier krijg je vers, warm en knapperig brood. Ook bovengemiddeld. De bereidingen van voor- en hoofdgerecht waren perfect. Er is ook een uitgebreide wijnkaart. Dat alles bovendien voor een normale prijs.”
