“What a gem! Loved this place! Hank and Anne-Marie were excellent hosts, you can tell that they love what they do. They will give you great advice, tips and tricks to help with your visit of Haarlem and Amsterdam. The breakfast is definitely worth it. The mini room that we were in was small but sufficient, the bathroom was surprisingly large (for European standards). When we booked they did say that the mini was a small room for an extended stay (we stayed 4 nights) and we should have listened, but the room was very clean, bed was comfy, which is what we wanted. A quick walk to the train station to a frequent spinter train directly to Amsterdam makes this a great place to be far enough from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, but close enough to take in the sights. Haarlem is very clean, felt super safe, even at night, restaurants galore. Hotel is conveniently located on a quiet pedestrian only street, near the square. We were there during a heatwave and the jazz festival so there was a lot of activities/music in the square and there was no AC so the room was hot, we were on the top floor. But it cooled down enough at night to open a window to cool off. Surprisingly, even with the nearby music at the square and the window open, it was still very quiet. We took advantage of the heat to bike to the nearby beach with the maps and advice of our hosts. All in all a very positive experience. We Highly recommend.”
